Exclusive interviews with participants in the publishing matchmaking at Contec 2025

What does it feel like to share your catalogue with publishers from all corners of the world? How does a Chilean book find its way into other languages and cultures?

These and many other questions were part of the exchange between publishers who took part in the publishing matchmaking sessions at Contec 2025.

During the event, representatives of 22 Chilean publishers and two literary agencies held strategic meetings with international publishers from countries such as Germany, India, Brazil, Egypt, Denmark and the United States. They were intense days of conversation, discovery and key connections for the future of the Chilean book.

Individual interviews with several of the participants are now available: short clips in which they describe what it meant to them to take part, what future projects they see as possible and how events like this strengthen the internationalisation of the Chilean publishing sector.
