The Chilean Association of Translators and Interpreters (Cotich), established on 22 April 1991, is a non-governmental, non-profit professional association and a member of the International Federation of Translators (FIT). Corporación del Libro y la Lectura CLL
Founded in 2015, the organisation grew out of a shared interest among publishers and bookshops of different origins and sizes in forming a socially responsible trade association, reflecting the cultural and educational importance of their work. As a non-profit institution, CLL actively defends copyright and promotes reading. Its members play a leading role in the Chilean market: their production currently accounts for 81.4% of books published in Chile.
